Laminated Glass
Laminated glass is usually formed by bonding two sheets of flat float glass with a sheet of plastic film. The plastic film holds the glass together when the sheet breaks and, as the sheets are bonded, this makes the glass less likely to break. Most cars have laminated glass as their front windscreen as it is safer than toughened glass.
